Bacardi at VELD Fest
Over the August long weekend, tens of thousands of electronic dance music enthusiasts put on their flower headbands, neon shirts, and dancing shoes to head to VELD Fest, Toronto’s largest EDM music festival. Concert goers flocked from all over North America to see headliners like Deadmau5, Steve Angelo, Above & Beyond, and Steve Aoki play music to get the crowd of 35,000 each day.
At a summer festival of this size, a nice, relaxing hangout spot to kick-up your feet and enjoy a drink at, is important to have. That’s where Community came in. Bacardi was the title sponsor of VELD Fest this year, and had an entire tent with Pretty Lights, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, and more performing inside all weekend. As amazing as the tent was, we wanted to make sure Bacardi’s brand presence was even bigger, so we brought the 2 level Bacardi Cabana with us. It was located in front of the main stage, for a great rooftop view of all the headliners, and feet away from the madness that was the Bacardi tent. The Cabana was a hot attraction for anyone looking to take a load off and sip a tasty Bacardi beverage, or to have a private dance party on the rooftop over looking the massive crowd and main stage. We also had some amazing Bacardi Batgirls dancing in the Cabana area, and handing out samples to thirsty partiers. All in all, Bacardi’s brand presence was impossible to miss, and we had a great time activating at one of the biggest events to happen in Toronto this summer, and needless to say, we can’t wait until next year!
