Toronto Film Festival – Blue is the Warmest Colour Premiere
September 5th marked the opening of Toronto International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the world. Disarrono Canada and Interview Magazine helped kick off the festival last night by hosting the official ‘Blue is the Warmest Colour’ after party at the Thompson Hotel.
The 2013 French drama was written, produced, and directed by Abdellatif Kechiche. It won the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, and became the first film to be awarded the prize to both the director and the main actresses. This made the film one of the most anticipated films at TIFF, and created quite the buzz among media, influencers, and film buffs.
The event featured 2 of the film’s stars – Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos, as well as local Toronto celebrities Kardinal Offishall, Jian Ghomeshi, and Shinan Govani representing their city. The night was filled with Disaronno cocktails including a special ‘Blue Angel’ inspired by the film.
The event was a great kickoff to the 10 day festival, and we are looking forward to many more amazing movies, celebrities, & parties. Are you heading to any films this year? Tell us about your picks for TIFF 2013!
