This week Schwarzkopf Professional Canada launched their 2015 Essential Looks showcase in Calgary revealing their modern collection of hair trends. Held at the Westin Hotel, over 750+ professional salon owners and hair stylists came together to celebrate the new Essential Looks collections.

Essential Looks were created by the  Schwarzkopf Professional team: Paul Pereira, Michele Oliver, Jean, Kathy Simon, Jean Sébastien Lacombe, Rossa Jurenas and Damien Carney.


Community was honoured to join the the Schwarzkopf Professional team for the second year in a row to promote their Essential Looks collection. Their first venture, #EL2014, included live community management, social media walls,  a social media photo booth and a social media gifting suite.  In 2015, the Community social team provided live social media coverage and much more. No stranger to digital innovation, the event  provided #EL2015 guests a memorable experience with a slow-motion video booth which provided participants with a unique piece of content to share on their social media accounts.

An Instaprint station encouraged guests to to post their content with the #EL2015 branded hashtag to receive premium print outs of their content at the event.

User generated content was sourced from Twitter and Instagram via the event hashtag #EL2015 and displayed across social media feeds through out the events. This encouraged social sharing of the event and expanded the event’s digital footprint.


#EL2015 was a huge hit both offline and online.
